§3 Foundation's Object & Activities

Object: To serve the public benefit and, without an aim for profit, achieve a world free of avoidable blindness amongst the world's most marginalised populations by building sustainable eye care worldwide.

Activities:

  • Providing critical eye care — surgeries, eyeglasses, medicine
  • Training local eye care providers
  • Developing self-sustaining programs that preserve and restore sight

  • Vision Centers — local centers addressing up to 80% of eye care needs
  • Eye Care for Children — comprehensive pediatric eye care embedded in public health

ANBI §5: REMUNERATION

§5 Remuneration Policy

Board members receive no remuneration for their activities as policymakers.

Board members may receive reimbursement of expenses incurred and non-excessive attendance fees for meetings.

The CEO/Executive Director salary is paid by the Seva Foundation (US partner organization), not by Seva Stichting.

Any future employees will be compensated at arm's-length market rates.

Seva Stichting's policy plan outlines strategic goals for eliminating avoidable blindness through sustainable eye care systems. Key elements include:

  • Global expansion of wide-field retinal imaging across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe
  • Comprehensive pediatric eye care programs screening 2.3 million children
  • Vision Centers randomized controlled trial — the first in South Asia
  • Technology Innovation Challenge for Retina AI
  • Training academy scaling to 25,000 eye care professionals
  • Women's eye care initiative in sub-Saharan Africa

ANBI §7: FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

§7 Financial Statements

As a newly established foundation, Seva Stichting will publish its first annual financial statements following the completion of its first fiscal year. Financial statements will include:

  • Statement of income and expenditure

Financial statements will be published within 6 months after the ending of each financial year.
